So, my August no sugar/starch/alcohol detox didn’t go so well, no surprise. I caved on bread, rice, French fries and wine after the first week. I have been running 3-4 miles and lift weights four times a week but exercise doesn’t do shit if you didn’t already know that. Sugar I’m still pretty good at avoiding despite cracking out the ice cream maker a few weeks ago. It’s summer for fuck’s sake– will half a cup of salted caramel ice cream really kill you?
I don’t feel any more energetic, sharp or less hefty than I did on July 31. I lost one measly pound. And as I’m technically 12 pounds overweight (frankly, I don’t care all that much but I hate being lumped into that horrible 66% of all Americans are overweight or obese statistic because I really don’t feel that grotesque. I went to Wal-Mart this weekend and felt like a beauty, which reminds me, People of Wal-Mart, yay or nay? It is mean-spirited, disjointed and pretty sorry book deal bait, but also hard not to look at at least once) at this rate I won’t be normal weight until August 2010.
Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this site. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s tough to get that “perfect balance” between usability and visual appearance. I must say that you’ve done a great job with this. In addition, the blog loads very quick for me on Chrome. Exceptional Blog!|
